What is AMT?

The term “AMT” can refer to several different types of transmission systems, but the most common is an automatic manual transmission (AMT) or clutchless transmission system. These systems are designed to provide a smooth and efficient ride without requiring the driver to use a clutch pedal – hence the name “clutchless.” In addition to being convenient for drivers, these systems also tend to be more fuel-efficient than traditional manual transmissions, which require frequent engagement and disengagement of the clutch.
